The Farmhouse

The Agritourism Zahra honours the orange blossom with its name: for the Arabs, “zahra” was, in fact, the whitest of flowers. The logo refers to our lemons too: the typical oblong leaf of the ‘white orange blossom‘ variety, surrounded by the sun and the sea, is meant to describe the natural wellness context in which the farm is located, a wellness that we would like to transfer to our guests’ stay.

The farmhouse is surrounded by the lemon grove of our farm and has a beautiful view of the Ionian Sea. Our guests will be accommodated in cosy and comfortable rooms with independent air conditioning, bright and naturally ventilated bathrooms.

The common areas provide plenty of opportunities for relaxation. You can spend pleasant moments in the large communal living room, under the shady porch leading to the rooms, on the panoramic terrace or in the small garden with the pergola.

The Swimming Pool

Our swimming pool is the pride of the farmhouse, the ideal place to fight the hot Sicilian summer days. Thanks to hydrolysis technology, which extracts natural chlorine from sea salt, we ensure healthy water without the use of anti-algae or artificial chlorine.

Next to the pool you can relax in the large solarium with natural larch slats, cosy as only wood can be. The structure provides sunbeds and umbrellas and everything you need to relax and enjoy the day.

The Farm

Our farm lies entirely within the ‘Limone dell’Etna IGP‘ area and is entirely cultivated with the ‘white Zagara‘ lemon variety. In Sicily, citrus groves are called ‘gardens’, a name from the Arab-Norman tradition used to symbolise the care devoted to their cultivation.

Our lemon groves fit perfectly into the landscape of Etna, where it is easy to find oneself enveloped by the delicate scent of orange blossoms, especially in spring and summer, when their generous blossoming is concentrated.

Tradition and innovation are the principles of our farm: harvesting is strictly manual and natural cultivation ensures total respect for the environment and biodiversity.
