ROUTES IN SICILY
The Agritourism Zahra will be the ideal starting point for visiting Sicily and discovering its natural beauty. The east coast of the island is full of beautiful beaches, historic towns and areas to explore, including the Etna Park. BEACHES AND RELAXATION
Sicily is an island surrounded by clear, colour-changing waters that bathe an ever-changing coastline, where white sandy beaches turn into cliffs and rocky shorelines. You can choose to spend the day in free areas or bathing establishments, equipped to welcome bathers with many amenities and fun activities.
A few kilometres from Agriturismo Zahra, you can relax on one of the many pebble beaches that stretch from Catania to Taormina, characterised by deep blue waters. Sand lovers will be enchanted by the white beaches that characterise the south coast, from Catania to Portopalo, framed by a sea with shallow, crystal-clear waters.
HIKING
The Agritourism Zahra is ideally located for nature lovers and hikers. From here you can easily reach Mount Etna Park and spend the day exploring one of its many scenic trails. Along the various routes, you will admire craters, shelters, caves, protected reserves and beautiful examples of native vegetation.
The south of Sicily will also surprise you with the amount of nature trails that allow you to explore the local nature. Between Syracuse and Ragusa, you can choose from many nature trails: you will walk through quarries and small canyons, rich in rivers, lakes and beautiful waterfalls in which to immerse yourself.
TOWNS AND VILLAGES
Eastern Sicily is dotted with beautiful towns and picturesque medieval villages that can also be explored on mini-day tours. Most of the Baroque towns are located in the Val di Noto: Modica, Ragusa, Scicli and Noto will captivate you with the beauty of their centres, churches and palaces.
Near the farmhouse you can visit the baroque cities of Catania and Acireale and some of the most characteristic medieval villages in the area, such as Castelmola and Taormina, the pearl of the Mediterranean. Places with an enormous artistic, historical and cultural heritage where you can spend pleasant days exploring.
FOOD AND WINE
The Sicilian food and wine tradition is renowned for the quality and variety of its products. Each locality has its own specialities and traditional recipes that will surprise your senses and your palates: the sweetness of pastries, the characteristic flavour of pistachios and almonds, elaborate side dishes, rustic and granite, first courses and the goodness of fresh fish.

SPORT & FUN
Trekking, body rafting, canyoning, bike tours. Just a few kilometres from farmhouse Zahra you can enjoy these and many other activities, organised for both adults and children. You can spend a day enjoying nature sports in the beautiful geological park of the Alcantara Gorges or in the Etna Adventure Park.
Organised bike tours in the area will allow you to choose between pedalling by the sea, adventures on Etna’s volcanic paths, and trips to some of Sicily’s most beautiful Baroque cities.
CULTURAL TOURISM
Sicily is not only sea, nature and fun. It is also an island rich in history and with an immense cultural and historical heritage. During your stay in Sicily, you can visit archaeological parks, medieval villages, Roman villas and many museums that contain evidence of centuries of domination.
Places of interest include the Villa del Casale in Piazza Armerina, with its splendid mosaics, the Archaeological Park in Syracuse and the Greek Theatre in Taormina. In addition, the numerous festivals and fairs organised in the area will make you part of the local culture and Sicilian folklore.
